Creamfields, la mayor promotora mundial de festivales, presenta el calendario para 2008 con trece citas alrededor de todo el mundo, de las cuales cuatro son nuevas. Los nuevos festivales que se incluyen en el calendario son Malta, República Checa, Rumanía, y un segundo festival en España que tendrá lugar en Vigo el 2 de agosto dado el éxito de Creamfields Andalucía en sus cuatro años de vida. Además, Creamfields celebra en 2008 su décimo aniversario el 23 de agosto en Liverpool aprovechando que la ciudad que vio nacer a The Beatles celebra este año su Capitalidad de Ciudad de la Cultura.

La Fundación Caixa Galicia, junto con la Fundación Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent, nos presenta la creación de uno de los mayores genios de la moda en la Sede Fundación Caixa Galicia de A Coruña, a través de la exposición “Yves Saint Laurent. Diálogos con el arte”. El lujo y la elegancia que revisten la figura del aclamado diseñador francés acaparan hasta el 29 de abril las salas de exposiciones del edificio, donde se confrontan diferentes piezas de arte con las creaciones del que, en palabras de Pierre Bergé, “…Era el astro alrededor del cual orbitaban las demás [casas de alta costura]”.

Un total de 36 obras de artistas como Mondrian, Picasso, Goya, Matisse, Braque, Andy Warhol, Serge Poliakoff o Roy Lichtenstein, entre otros, compartirán espacio con 47 diseños de Saint Laurent, formando una perfecta combinación en la que podremos intuir la inspiración del modisto.

«Un concierto y obra de teatro a la vez», así define PaGagNini el gran violinista libanés Ara Malikian , al que acompañan Eduardo Ortega, Thomas Potiron y Gartxot Ortiz. «Somos cuatro músicos profesionales y lo musical no nos costó trabajo porque lo llevamos haciendo toda la vida, pero lo actoral sí. Tuvimos que estar varios meses de ensayos con los directores de Yllana para poder entender lo que querían de nosotros», explica sobre el proceso Malikian, que reconoce que el proyecto surgió porque «me encanta el humor y la música y si se pueden combinar los dos, aún mejor».
